Hello friends! After a very long week, I am back :)
Some things that I've been loving:

:: This DIY for cheerful cotton bracelets.

:: This zippered card pouch tutorial (via How About Orange)

:: I'm quite curious about this olive oil zucchini cake with lemon glaze recipe

:: This iPad case tutorial (because I do believe that if I look at enough ipad case tutorials and patterns, I can will one into being with just my mind. No? That's not how it works?)

Coming up soon, some actual knitting!

A sweater for Charlie

A wee sweater for a new little friend named Charlie.

The pattern: Purl Soho's Baby Fair Isle Sweater

The yarn: Cascade sport superwash (2 balls gray) and odd bits of leftover Patons classic merino.

Needles and modifications: 3.5mm (cast on for the newborn size but knit length of 6-month sweater).

This pattern is a really lovely treat to knit. Seamless with just a small bit of colourwork to keep it interesting.

i heart... this and that

Chicago, October 2009

:: This sharpie mug tutorial. Now to think of something clever and mug-appropriate to say....

:: This embroidery book by Miniature Rhino that is coming out this fall. I took a peek at the Renegade Craft show and it is stuffed full of inspiration.

:: This hat from the Brooklyn Tweed collection. My friend J spotted it over on Wiksten last winter and I've been somewhat obsessed ever since.

:: I am reading The Imperfectionists right now and it is oh. so. good.

:: Also, if you need a bit of a giggle today, this Bill Murray clip will serve you well (via Angry Chicken).
